Sabrina Carpenter opens up about ‘first heartbreak’: ‘completely different state of mind’

Sabrina Carpenter recently opened up about a significant moment in her life – her "true first heartbreak."
During the conversation with Zane Lowe on a recent broadcast of Apple 1's New Music Daily, the Tall Girl star said referring to her relationship with Joshua Bassett, "I was heartbroken two years ago," adding, “I was in a completely different state of mind.”
“For me, that was truly my first heartbreak. And so I think when you’re going through something like that, you question everything about yourself and you take it really personally,” Sabrina said.
The Girl Meets World star continued, saying that after the split, she started to mistrust every aspect of herself to the point that it was hard for her to "move throughout a room without questioning if people’s opinions are more important than your own."
Sabrina is currently romantically linked with Berry Keoghan.
“They really took things slow at first, but the relationship is going strong. They are both very casual people and enjoy being low-key in their downtime,” an insider told US Weekly last month.
In 2023, Sabrina and Keoghan first crossed paths at a fashion event in Paris.
A month later, in December, they were observed dining together in Los Angeles, which sparked rumors that they were romantically involved.
