Céline Dion experienced a profound moment when she received a standing ovation at the Grammys 2024, reflecting on this memorable instance, she expressed her gratitude, describing the experience as "very, very touching.”
While conversing for the cover of Vogue France on April 22, the My Heart Will Go On crooner, reflected on her public appearance at the prestigious award ceremony in February amid her battle with stiff-person syndrome.
As she took the stage to present the prize for Album of the Year for Midnights to Taylor Swift and received a standing ovation, she commented, "It was very nerve-wracking, but at the same time, a big honour."
Dion went on to say, "That magic. That excitement. To see the fans, to see the crowd. To see show business again. It took a lot, a lot out of me,” adding, “But my son, René-Charles — R.C. — came and gave me his support.”
The All By My Self singer also shared her experience of presenting the Grammy for album of the year, which she took home in 1997 for Falling into You, was “an honor, because [Swift] is having the time of her life and I'm the one who's presenting it to her.”
“But it's always very, very touching when you have a standing ovation,” she added about the moment.
