Selena Gomez has stirred anticipation as she unveiled the title of the upcoming season of Wizards of Waverly Place, accompanied by a release of first-look photos.

The Only Murders in the Building star announced a significant development regarding the impending Wizards of Wavery Place revival series on Tuesday, May 14, during the ABC and Disney Upfronts event, which was hosted at New York City's Javits Centre.

"Sometimes, something magical happens when you do get to go home again," Gomez said.

The Single Soon singer, who also serves as an executive producer of the series, expressed her enthusiasm for revealing the title of the next version of the beloved Disney Channel show: Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.

Disney released the first image from the series with Gomez reprising her role as Alex Russo alongside her costar David Henrie as Justin Russo.

In another image, Gomez alongside Henrie, 34, and full cat including the series lead Janice LeAnn Brown (Billie Russo), Mimi Gianopulos (Giada Russo), Alkaio Thiele (Roman Russo) and Max Matenko (Milo Russo) were seen.

To note, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, from Disney Branded Television, will premiere on Disney Channel and Disney+ later this year.
