Selena Gomez shared her heartfelt experience of filming the Wizards of Waverly Place spinoff, describing it as a nostalgic journey that 'felt like I was home again.’
The Single Soon singer, who portrayed Alex Russo in the Disney series, talked about what it's like to return to the set.
At the Only Murders in the Building season 4 premiere on Thursday, Selena said in an interview with Variety while remembering her nostalgic experience, "It felt like home again."
She said, "I'm so happy I got to give this childhood gift I was given to new little ones out there."
When asked if the Disney series will extend for more than one season, Selena who is currently enjoying her relationship with music producer Benny Blanco said, "We don't know, but if people like it, we'll see."
Elsewhere in discussion Henrie, who will portray Justin, Alex's brother, disclosed, “Selena and I and my wife spent so much time over the years drinking wine and talking about where the characters would be, we looked at each other at one point and said, ‘I think we have a show.”
He said, “I think we should talk to Disney about this,” adding, “And we did. It took years of development to get it exactly where it needed to be.”
“It came out of a place love. The number one thing Selena gets asked about even till today is ‘Wizards.’ It’s a show that meant a lot to a lot of people,” Henrie noted.
