Jennifer Ortega has put an end to speculations. attaching her to Johnny Depp and saying, rather strongly, "I don't know that person."

The Scream VI actress addressed the allegations that first became popular on social media last summer in an interview with BuzzFeed

In response to a question about the "craziest rumour" she has heard about herself, Ortega said, "I think it was that I was seeing Johnny Depp seriously and that I wanted everyone to get over here." I find that very absurd. I've never made a statement like that.

The Wednesday star said, “I thought that that was pretty hilarious. I was on set with Richard E. Grant and he came up to me and he said, ‘Oh, so you and Johnny…’ and I laughed because I don’t know that person.”

Additionally, last summer, Ortega and Depp, 61, were first linked by the famous Instagram account DeuxMoi. However, the agency for the Pirates of Caribbean actor denied the claim.

“Mr. Depp has no personal or professional relationship with Miss Ortega whatsoever. He has never met her or spoken to her,” Depp’s rep told NME in August 2023.

They stated, “He is not involved in any project with her, nor does he intend to be. He is appalled by these baseless and malicious rumous that are intended to harm his reputation and career.”

On the other hand, Depp and Ortega work together on the next Beetlejuice sequel, which is being directed by Tim Burton.
