Dwayne Johnson shuts down presidential run rumours
The Rock would reportedly avoid becoming involved in the 2024 election
Dwayne The Rock Johnson has made it clear he's stepping out of the political ring, revealing he has no interest in fighting over partisan issues.
According to an exclusive source who spoke with In Touch, the superstar would reportedly avoid becoming involved in the 2024 election in favour of working on his Hollywood endeavours and staying involved with the WWE while the latter gets ready to migrate to Netflix in the coming year.
“Dwayne still wants to be president, but for him 2024 is about two things: getting more movie projects in the can and getting the WWE and its roster of superstars ready for the move to Netflix,” the source explained.
After triumphantly returning to the WWE, the wrestling organisation that gave the burly actor his start, on New Year's Day 2024, the 52-year-old star of Fast & Furious has a lot on his plate.
As he worked his way up the ranks, The Rock sustained many serious injuries, including repeated spinal disc herniations and ruptures, a ruptured Achilles tendon, and a complete shoulder reconstruction in addition to torn knee ligaments that needed four surgeries.
