As Lisa Kudrow and Ray Romano were filming their new drama, she pitched him the concept of a comedy.
During the December 4 premiere of No Good Deed, the Friends alumna talked to PEOPLE about collaborating with the Everybody Loves Raymond actor on her most recent Netflix drama.
She also revealed the possible idea she presented to him while on set.
"He's everything I thought he would be. He's easy. He's effortless. He's a fantastic actor,” Kudrow noted.
She added, "It's everything I sort of fantasized. I'd see Ray in other things, and say, 'God, he's a really good actor. I'd love to work with him, but I guess that'll never happen.'"
Since it was her first time working with Romano, Kudrow said she was "nervous" but that he "turned out to be exactly who I thought he would be."
The actress said that she hasn't ruled out the idea of doing multi-camera sitcoms again when asked if she would ever be interested in doing so. She has really attempted to drag Romano along with her.
She said, "I think I forget what the hard work was in the beginning of doing one of those shows."
Notably, Kudrow and Romano portrayed long-time couple Lydia and Paul in the Netflix film No Good Deed, which is scheduled to premiere on December 12.
The pair "decide to move on from their empty nest to forge a new life," according to the official description, so they list their long-time residence, "and the real estate frenzy begins."
