Lily Allen has finally chosen to put her well-being first.

Just a week after making headlines for her split from husband David Harbour, the 39-year-old English singer reflected on her recent experience in a mental health facility.

During the February 13 episode of her and her best friend Miquita Oliver’s Miss Me? Podcast, she revealed how her experience at the treatment center went.

"I went into a treatment center for a few weeks, which was great. I did lots of group therapy and some individual therapy," she explained.

Expressing that her time there wasn’t easy, she still prevailed.

"It's a lifelong journey of healing. I meditate every day now, at least two or three times a day. That's really helping me."

She shared that meditation has been a powerful way to focus on her breathing, mentioning that it has helped her stay present instead of focusing on the past or constantly worrying about the future.

As a mother to Ethel, 13, and Marnie, 11,whom she shares with ex-husband Sam Cooper, the Smile hitmaker shared that her decision to seek treatment was driven by her dedication to be better for her children.

"I absolutely adore my children. I'm in a situation now where I really have to be my strongest self for them. I felt like it was getting harder for me to be able to show up for them in the way that they needed me to," she expressed.

Reflecting on her decision, Lily shared that stepping away from her children for several weeks to prioritize her well-being was not easy.

However, she explained that doing so was ultimately for their sake, as she needed support to help them go through this challenging period.
