Kate Middleton ‘snubbed’ in latest social media post from royal family?
Kate Middleton might have been left out of latest post from royal family on their social media account
The International Women’s Day was celebrated globally on March 8, Saturday.
Social media pages for the British royal family marked the occasion by sharing a carousel of images on Instagram.
The post featured portraits of women part of the royal family, including of course the late matriarch and last reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II.
However, it was the exclusion of Princess Kate Middleton that spurred scrutiny over the post.
“Wow. Nothing about the Princess of Wales?” read one comment on the post.
Other eagle-eyed followers indicated that the former Princess of Wales, the late Lady Diana, was also omitted among the tributes.
“You’re missing the Princess of Wales, both of them,” replied another.
It has been noted since, however, that the post included only those portraits which have been taken by female photographers.
“While Kate has been captured by photographer Millie Pilkington, who took the royal's wedding photos, it's likely these were omitted as the social media page typically focuses on the work of the royals featured in the post,” reported HELLO! Magazine.
In the midst of this commotion, the current Princess of Wales, celebrated the day by taking to the shared profile of hers and husband Prince William, on X (formerly Twitter).
Princess Kate and Prince William shared a detailed thread on the Kensington Royal account which featured 12 women that the royals met over the last year.
