Apple ‘Tap to Pay’ now available in THESE European countries

Apple has announced the availability of the renowned “Tap to Pay” feature on iPhone in nine additional European countries.

This cutting-edge feature will now be available in countries, including Bulgaria, Finland, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Switzerland.

First introduced in the United States in February 2022, “Tap to Pay” enables independent sellers, small businesses, and larger merchants to use their iPhones as a contactless payment terminal.

The feature allows iPhone users to accept payments via Apple Pay, contactless credit and debit cards, and other digital wallets.

The feature also ensures secure transactions through encryption. Notably, Apple does not collect information about purchases or buyers.

To use “Tap to Pay” on iPhone, no additional hardware or credit card machine is required. The feature supports iPhone XS or any newer model.

“Tap to Pay” also utilises NFC technology to authenticate contactless payments securely and supports PIN entry, including accessibility options.
