King Charles held a crucial meeting at Buckingham Palace after his beloved daughter-in-law Kate Middleton made a major appearance to mark St Patrick’s Day.
As Colonel of the Irish Guards, Kate Middleton met soldiers and veterans at Wellington Barracks following their annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
The Princess of Wales presented traditional sprigs of shamrock to the Officers and Guardsmen, who then issued it along the ranks — and even presented one to Seamus, the Irish Wolf Hound regimental mascot.
Following Kate Middleton’s royal engagement, the palace shared a photo of King Charls with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
The palace also said about the crucial meeting, “This afternoon at Buckingham Palace, the Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney, was received in audience by The King.”
The monarch was pictured grinning as he shook the hand of Canada´s new leader, who took office last week.
Following crucial meetings, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney warned his country must reduce its reliance on the United States and would turn towards its "reliable" European allies instead on his first trip abroad.
After succeeding Justin Trudeau last week, Carney conspicuously chose key European powers France and the United Kingdom, rather than the United States, for his first trip abroad.
