Gal Gadot’s Walk of Fame ceremony encounters major protests
Gal Gadot was in attendance to receive her star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Gal Gadot recently saw herself become subject of mass protests as she attended her Walk of Fame ceremony.
The Wonder Woman actress made an appearance on Tuesday afternoon to unveil her star, which has now become part of the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame.
However, her joy at the honour was disrupted by protestors who marked the ceremony to protest Gadot’s Israeli status and her stance on the Israel-Palestine War.
The protestors were part of both pro-Palestinian and pro-Israeli groups.
Some of the signs seen at the protest included “Heros Fight Like Palestinians” and “Viva Viva Palestina”. (sic)
Variety has reported that much like the premiere of Gadot’s movie Snow White, earlier this month, the Walk of Fame ceremony was also tented off “and fully not visible from the street”.
Protestors also made references at the actress’ participation in the new Disney movie. One such protestor was seen carrying a sign which read, “Snow White supports genocide”.
The pro-Palestinian crowd also reportedly chanted, “Up up with liberation, down down with occupation”.
While, shouts of “Not another nickel, not another dime, no more money for Israel’s crime” were also heard.
A protestor by the name of Roma Ealaicos told Variety, “There’s no reason we should be celebrating an Israeli.”
Meanwhile, pro-Israeli protestors also turned up at the event to support the actress and counter the protests in favour of Palestine.
Content creator Dana Nikri was seen with an Israeli flag.
Speaking with the publication, she said, “They come [to] our home and take us from our home and give us dead children,” referencing the October 7 attacks.
Nikri shared that her friends were in attendance at the music festival which was attacked on October 7 and that her friends were subsequently “murdered”.
The ceremony started 15 minutes late due to clashes between the two groups, after which the local police also got involved.
Gadot has previously advocated for Israel; Specially, following the October 7 attacks.
Speaking about the incident ahead of the ceremony, Gadot told Variety, “I could not be silent. I was shocked by the amount of hate, by the amount of how much people think they know when they actually have no idea, and also by how the media is not fair many times.”
“I am all about humanity, and I felt like I had to advocate for the hostages. When your compass is clear, your conscience is clean,” she had further stated.
