Ted Lasso has officially confirmed that the the hit series will be returning for its fourth season.

As of right now, only Jason Sudeikis has been confirmed to return to his role as the optimistic football coach on the popular Apple TV series. However, there is one actor that will reportedly not return to the fan favourite show. 

As per Deadline, it has been reported that the actor who played the coach’s son, Henry Lasso, will be recast. The role was previously played by Gus Turner, from season one till season three.

He was mainly seen during facetime calls with his father all the way from Kansas, while Ted coached AFC Richmond in the United Kingdom.

The third season finale ended with Ted returning to his hometown and his son excitedly welcoming him with open arms.

After announcing the renewal for season four the, 49-year-old actor and comedian reportedly hinted that the upcoming season might feature his character coaching a women’s soccer team.

Although details of the plot for the new season are under wraps, the outlet reported that it will pick up where it left off, with the first three episodes being filmed in Kansas, where the new actor who will be portraying Henry will get the opportunity to flaunt and impress viewers with his football skills.

It is speculated that the reason for this recasting is that they needed someone who has prior knowledge and skills regarding the sport, because Ted’s son will be indulging in the game and trying work his way around the field.
