New features coming with iOS 19 update

Apple's upcoming iOS 19 update is expected to bring several new features and design changes, enhancing iPhone users’ overall experience.

According to YouTuber Jon Prosser, who has claimed to have seen internal builds of iOS 19, the update will include various enhancements.

With the iOS 19 update, the App icons will have a more rounded shape, falling between the current design and a perfect circle. Menus will feature more shadows and depth, giving them a more dimensional look.

The Tab View will also be redesigned to resemble the one in visionOS and the Photos app in iOS 18. However, the Bars in apps such as Music and App Store will float on the screen with a new interface for the Search tab.

Notably, in iMessages, the search field will now appear at the bottom of the screen. Meanwhile, the Settings app will feature wider spacing between list items and shadows, giving it a fresh look.

Additionally, a new Camera app design has been rumoured, with buttons floating on the screen.

It is worth mentioning that Bloomberg's Mark Gurman also confirmed these rumours, stating that iOS 19 and macOS 16 will mark the "most significant upgrade" to the interface in years.

For the unversed, the iOS 19 update will likely be released during the usual September window alongside Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 series.
