Sadie Sink was starred in the Broadway play, John Proctor Is the Villain.

The opening night of the Broadway show was inaugurated on Monday, April 14 at the New York City’s Boot Theatre.

The play is set in a Georgia high school English class of 2018,  exploring the themes of trust, betrayal, and the abuse of power.

Sink’s hit Netflix show, Stranger Things costars including, Finn Wolfhard, Natalia Dyer, Maya Hawke, and Gaten Matarazzo were present at the opening night to celebrate her.

The 22-year-old actress spoke to People prior to her performance, praising the writer of the play.

"Kimberly's writing is so brilliant and truly captures teenagers and such an authentic light and deals with some uncomfortable topics, but in such a digestible, honest way," she mentioned.

Sink continued, "So I'm incredibly more proud of our team and the message that this show has."

Alongside The Whale actress, Nihar Duvvuri, Gabriel Ebert, Molly Griggs, Maggie Kuntz, Hagan Oliveras, Morgan Scott were also casted in the play.

For the unversed, this isn’t the first time Sink has performed in Broadway, she made her debut at the age of 10 in Annie.

Moreover, the Dear Zoe performer was also casted as an alternative for Young Elizabeth in the play, The Audience in 2015.

Apart from that, Sadie Sink’s popular Netflix show Stranger Things finale season is slated to release later this year.
