Prince William and Kate Middleton’s latest decision to not show up for Easter Sunday’s church service on Sunday may land them in hot waters as sources close to Buckingham Palace reveal that “it feels like a deliberate move and even a snub.”

Following their skiing vacation in the French alps, parents to Princes George, 11, and Louis, 6, as well as Princess Charlotte, 9, announced that they would prefer to spend Easter at their country estate, Anmer Hall in Norfolk.

New reports suggest however, that this decision has not gone down well with the royal establishment.

A royal source told Us Weekly, “This is a big deal. It’s royal tradition for the family to attend this together.”

Acknowledging the Prince and Princess of Wales’ needs last year, the source continued, “Everyone understood the family not attending last year when Kate was sick but there’s been a lot of raised eyebrows at the palace about William’s decision to skip again this year.”

Previously, it was reported that the Waleses were skipping the public festivities as they plan to “enjoy some extended time as a family over Easter.”

Given the reason for their children’s educational schedule, the report also mentioned, “They are choosing to spend time together as a family before the children go back to school.”

Prince William and Kate Middleton were also absent from the annual Easter Sunday service at the St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in 2024 as the Princess was freshly diagnosed with cancer back then and went under treatment for the disease.
