Roblox price optimisation tool lets creators set regional pricing
Roblox introduces new feature that allows creators to set region-specific prices for in-game items

Roblox has introduced a new feature that allows creators to set region-specific prices for in-game items.
This means that the price of an item will vary depending on the user's location, reflecting local market conditions.
With this feature, game developers can choose to enable regional pricing for in-game items like passes, which will automatically adjust the price in Robux, Roblox's in-game currency.
“Today, we’ve expanded their opportunity to earn with Regional Pricing, which allows creators to offer region-specific prices for their in-game items. Creators who opt into Regional Pricing now have an additional tool to help build a global business on Roblox and aid in building a more globally inclusive player base,” Roblox’s official site reads.
The company also plans to extend this feature to avatar items later this year.
According to Roblox's VP of Economy Enrico D'Angelo, the main challenge in implementing regional pricing was preventing arbitrage.
However, after conducting early testing, the company has seen no cases of abuse.
Roblox's price optimisation tool will also help developers determine the best price for their items. The company has reported a median earnings increase of 4% for creators who have tested the pricing feature.
By offering region-specific pricing, Roblox aims to provide creators with more flexibility and potentially increase their earnings.
