Prince William put on his sporting hat to watch Manchester City battle Crystal Palace at London’s Wembley Stadium for a nail-biting final clash in the English FA Cup.

The future king brought along Prince George for the occasion, as the father and son duo ushered in their weekend together by catching some thrilling football.

As Patron of the Football Association (FA), the Prince of Wales tended to his duties as more than just a spectator, in a role that he took on during 2024.

Moreover, he congratulated the champions on the day, Crystal Palace, via his official Instagram.


“Congratulations @cpfc on a brilliant FA Cup victory! A historic win and a performance to remember,” the congratulatory caption read.

It continued, “The support was amazing, you’ve made your fans proud!”

Notably, the South London club, currently sitting at number 12 in the English Premier League, earned the first major trophy in their entire sporting history.

While they were handed their winning medals, as well as the trophy, from the 42-year-old royal.

The Prince handed out the runners up medals to the losing side as well.

The game took place on Saturday, where Prince William watched Crystal Palace defeat Manchester city, after a one goal to none victory.
