Jimmy Kimmel went after President Donald Trump and Sean “Diddy” Combs alike in his latest monologue on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

Returning for a new episode of the show, the 57-year-old comedian and host targeted Trump in a couple of savage jokes aimed at his previously known acquaintance with the rapper currently on trial for sexual trafficking and racketeering.

Kimmel went on to mention that the trial is “happening in New York”, following which he launched into a series of jokes about the accused.

He then called out the American president, adding, “It also so happens that Diddy’s favourite place to stay in New York, we learned yesterday, was the Trump International Hotel. Of course it was. It’s like the pool filter of the world.”

“Maybe Trump will sell Diddy a pardon after all. He’d hate to lose one of his best customers. Would anybody be surprised by that?” the late night host quipped.

It is important to note that, besides a few photographs of the two available on the internet and the usual jokes about it, Trump has never been involved whatsoever in the ongoing trial.

However, it was previously reported that Diddy’s legal team did try to actively seek a legal pardon from the sitting president.

Rolling Stone’s sources revealed that the music mogul is desperate “to get out of jail”.

“He’s always been this way. He’s always going to do what he has to do to get out of a situation,” it was revealed.

Regarding Diddy’s current relationship with the outspoken US politician, the sources further claimed, “He doesn’t even like Donald Trump.”

Meanwhile, testimonies in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ New York trial are still underway, where several witnesses have been called already to take the stand in the messy high profile case.
