Scooter Braun reveals real reason for split with ex-wife Yael Cohen

Scooter Braun is opening up about his split with ex-wife Yael Cohen.

After seven years of marriage, the 43-year-old talent manager and the South African-born Canadian health activist, who share three children 9-year-old Jagger, seven year old Levi, and five year old Hart, separated in 2021.

He has now reflected on his past relationship, acknowledging that both of them had contributed to the challenges that led up to their split.

Talking on the The Diary of a CEO's June 9 episode, the businessman and record executive expressed, "I don't want to go into detail, because I have a lot of respect."

"We're family forever. It goes both ways. It's not like there was one thing happening. Both people have to play a role in where we got to. Things happened both ways," he continued.

"However, Chris Rock says something really special," he said. "He goes, 'Relationships are actually quite easy. Have you ever tried to pick up a couch with two people? No problem. Pick up a couch by yourself.' And that was the thing, we both went to pick up the couch at different times."

Scooter reflected on his relationship, saying that Yael’s presence served a meaningful role in his life.

He went on to share that he couldn't recognise who he was and further admitted that while the world assured him he was doing well. However, he shared that he realised how disconnected he was from himself as success came early and the constant praise hid his lack of awareness.

"It wasn't until the foundation broke and there was nothing underneath it when I was like, 'Oh, s--t! I'm actually not happy,'" he shared.
