Princess Anne returns to royal tradition after deciding to skip major celebration
Princess Anne proves her commitment to keeping tradition alive

Princess Anne is set to ride publicly this weekend during the Trooping the Colour, nearly a year after sustaining head injuries in a horse related incident.
This comes after previously choosing to skip public festivities for her 75th birthday, and opted to host more than 100 of her charitable organisations at Buckingham Palace.
In her ceremonial role as Gold Stick and Colonel of the Blues and Royals, the 74-year-old Royal family member will be taking part in the King's Birthday Parade on Saturday.
Her return to the tradition proves she made a strong recovery after the accident last year in June. The incident took place at her Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire, causing her to spend five days in the Southmead Hospital in Bristol following the accident with a concussion and suffering from head injuries after being hit by a horse.
When questioned about the mishap, King Charles’ sister confessed that she couldn’t recall anything.
Princess Anne has always ridden in the annual ceremony, and her decision and determination to do it this year as well proves her strong commitment to keeping the tradition alive.
