Anthropic introduces new features for its Claude AI chatbot
Anthropic has introduced a new feature to its Claude AI chatbot that allows users to build AI-powered applications directly within the platform.
Currently in beta, this new capability expands on the company’s “Artifacts” tool, launched last year, which lets users view and interact with Claude’s generated content in real-time.
According to the company’s blog post, users can start creating by simply describing what they want to build.
Claude will then generate the necessary code, offering a seamless and interactive coding experience from within the chatbot interface.
“Start building in the Claude app by enabling this new interactive capability. Simply describe what you want to create, and Claude will write the code for you,” the blog post reads.
This hands-on approach turns Claude into more than just an AI assistant, it becomes a full-fledged app development platform.
In a promotional video, the company demonstrated the ease of use by showcasing someone building a basic chat app entirely within the Claude interface.
Early adopters of the tool have reportedly built a wide range of applications, including AI-driven games, learning aids, data analysis tools, writing assistants, and even workflow agents capable of handling multiple Claude API calls for complex tasks.
Moreover, developers will be able to link their apps to Claude via an API, enabling two-way interaction.
This feature is available to users across all tiers of Claude access, including Free, Pro, and Max plans.
