Princess Anne steps back into spotlight at beloved Royal event
The Princess Royal is a patron of Spinal Injuries Association since 1984

In a touching moment, Princess Anne rejoined a charity initiative that continues to be close to her heart.
As a patron of the Spinal Injuries Association, King Charles’ sister made an appearance at a polo event held at Cirencester Park Polo Club, a 15 minute drive from her Gatcombe Park estate.
Last year, the 74-year-old British royal family was unable to attend last year’s charity polo as she was focusing on her recovery from her horse-related injury.
However, just last Friday, the Princess Royal appeared to be radiant and in a cheerful mood as she enjoyed the sunshine and engaged with guests on the polo field, as seen in pictures taken by Hello!
Martin Hibbert, Vice President of the organisation and one of the survivors of the Manchester Arena terror attack was also seen attending the event.
Martin, who had been with his daughter at Ariana Grande’s concert when the terrible attack occurred, is now living with permanent paralysis.
However, at the event, he went on to express his gratitude for the support he has received from the spinal charity, which has had Princess Anne as a patron since 1984.
"Not only is it an honour to have HRH The Princess Royal attend today, but she also really understands spinal cord injury and the impact it has on people's lives, she really cares," he stated.
Continuing, "When I was in hospital, the Spinal Injuries Association visited me at one of my darkest moments, support network manager Gary Dawson told me your life isn't over, it's only just beginning. They proved to me with the right support, belief and community anyone living with a spinal cord injury can lead a fulfilled life."
Anne then rose to speak, addressing the crowd as she thanked everyone involved with the charity and shared how uplifted she was hearing how many more people were now benefiting from the organization’s support.
