As Kate Middleton’s eldest child with Prince William, 11-year-old Prince George is usually the first of their three children to be initiated into various royal customs.

Therefore, new reports have speculated that the British throne’s second-in-line will soon become part of another ancient royal tradition.

However, the young prince’s mother seems to be vehemently opposed to this “gruesome” ritual within the royal family.

Royal author Duncan Larcombe revealed in his 2017 book titled Prince Harry: The Inside Story that George was close to participating in stag hunting with his father, at the time.

In a latest interview with the Daily Express, however, the author and journalist has suggested that this summer at Balmoral might prove to be pivotal.

“It was reported that he will join his father on a stag-hunting shoot while they visit the Balmoral estate this month,” Larcombe stated about the father and son’s Scottish plans

Though the detail which may upset the boy’s mother is one which the author said “goes back centuries”.

“Traditionally, the blood of a hunter’s first kill is spread on their face, a ritual that goes back centuries,” he revealed.

Duncan Larcombe further reported Kate Middleton’s past participation in the ritual, adding, “Years ago, Kate joined the royals on a shoot”, but he remained “unclear” about Prince George’s upcoming involvement.
