Jimmy Kimmel has recently broken silence and offered support to his friend and fellow host Stephen Colbert following the announcement of the end of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

It is pertinent to mention that CBS has announced it will cancel the show after running for 10 years, citing a "financial decision" and not due to any issues with ratings or show content.

It is worth noting that Colbert has been part of the show since September 2015, which will officially conclude in May 2026.

On Friday, July 18, while on vacation, Kimmel took to his Instagram handle to share a heartfelt message.

"Love you Stephen. F*** you and all your Sheldons CBS," he penned, accompanied by a repost of Colbert’s video addressing the show's cancellation.

It is also noteworthy that the sudden and abrupt announcement comes just days after the 61-year-old host criticised the network for paying a $16 million settlement in the president Donald Trump lawsuit, leading many to speculate whether the cancellation was influenced by his recent political stance.

Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert have long shared a mutual respect and genuine friendship.
