Princess Anne’s friend reveals truth about her serious horse injury
Princess Anne faces a serious horse injury back in June 2024

Despite a serious accident last year, Princess Anne, who has frequently been called the 'hardest working royal,' is confidently powering through as she nears her 75th birthday, showing Royal fans that she isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
A source close to the 74-year-old British Royal family member explained that her injury was downplayed and was in fact 'much worse.'
"Her accident was so much worse than anyone let on, and it took quite a while for her to feel herself again," the insider stated.
While at her Gatcombe Park estate, last June, the Princess, who is the only sister of King Charles, sustained a concussion. Medical experts later suggested that her injuries matched those typically caused by a horse’s head or legs.
After being cared for and receiving treatment for her head trauma, she revealed that she has no memory of the accident at all.
During her visit to South Africa in January, the Princess Royal spoke with the Press Association, she admitted the shocking and scary incident had given her a lot to reflect on, saying,
"It just reminds you, shows you that you never quite know, something happens and you might not recover."
"You're jolly lucky … if you can continue to be more or less compos mentis, and last summer I was very close to not being. Take each day as it comes, they say. You are sharply reminded that every day is a bonus really."
However, just last month in June, Anne made her return to public riding during the Trooping of the Colour, marking it the first time back on the saddle since the accident.
