Tyler Perry drops bombshell reason he cut off his family financially

Tyler Perry recently revealed the bombshell reason behind his shocking decision of cutting off his extended family financially.

Speaking on the YouTube show, Den of Kings with host Kirk Franklin, the 55-year-old actor, while shedding light on the reason, told he had to fire his close relative, his aunt, due to her non-seriousness.

The Tyler Perry's House of Payne star said, “She would always call asking for money, I would send her the money.”

Perry recalled that he told his aunt, “Listen, I want to help you - I want to help you build this thing, not be welfare to you - so, let me give you a job.”

The Madea's Destination Wedding actor, while expressing his frustration with his aunt, then revealed that he made the final decision and fired his aunt personally.

“Well, you gotta go, because you want me to hand you the money, but you don't want to work for it,” the Duplicity performer informed her.

His interview comes just a few days after he denied claims of sexual harassment in a $260 million lawsuit filed by fellow actor Derek Dixon, who alleges that Tyler Perry engaged in a sustained pattern of workplace sexual harassment, assault, and retaliation.
