Meghan Markle to embark on her separate journey with Netflix

Meghan Markle may be in the process of penning a deal with Netflix which would take her away from her previously joint collaboration with Prince Harry.

While reports recently emerged that the Sussex couple’s Netflix deal will not be renewed once it expires in September 2025, a new source has revealed that the Duchess is working through a separate deal with the streaming network.

“Make no mistake—a deal is being worked through as we speak,” the Daily Mail quoted one insider.

The source further claimed that despite the recently published poor numbers of Meghan’s show on Netflix, With Love, Meghan did make a splash during its initial release and therefore, will be considered in potential future negotiations.

“If you’re in the top third of Netflix, you’re getting another deal,” said the tipster.

Moreover, given the streamer’s backing of the former actress’ lifestyle brand As Ever, the insider added, “Netflix is an equity partner in As Ever, so they are unlikely to drop Meghan.”

However, it was also reported that the silence surrounding any current business dealings is a strategic move on the part of both of the parties.

“What happens at the end of the contract is that people renegotiate. But when doing any kind of commercial negotiation, both sides are not allowed to talk about it,” the source explained.

Meanwhile, the second season of Meghan Markle’s With Love, Meghan is also set to premiere on Netflix sometime around fall this year.
