Christina Applegate made a shocking revelation of having gained 40 pounds since being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis during the filming of Netflix’s Dead To Me.

During her conversation with The New York Times, the 50-year-old actor said: “This is the first time anyone's going to see me the way I am. I put on 40 pounds.

“I can't walk without a cane. I want people to know that I am very aware of all of that.”

Applegate’s medical condition causes the immune system eats away the protective covering of nerves. It also interrupts the flow of information between the brain and the body.

Talking about having a hard time shooting due to her medical condition, Applegate said: “I had an obligation. The powers that be were like, "Let’s just stop. We don’t need to finish it. Let's put a few episodes together [with previously recorded footage]." I said, "No. We’re going to do it, but we’re going to do it on my terms."'
