Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson recently saw the successful release of their action comedy film The Naked Gun, a reboot of an ‘80s franchise of the same name.

However, it was discovered during the promotional rounds of the movie that its romantic leads have in fact struck up an offscreen romance as well.

Having endured public tragedies in their respective personal lives — with the Baywatch actress suffering a sex tape scandal and domestic violence at the hands of her ex-husband Tommy Lee, and the Oscar-nominated actor losing his wife Natasha Richardson in a 2009 skiing accident — their new relationship paints a very warm picture.

Even bringing their sons along for one of the film’s premieres, the couple looked adoringly loved up together and effectively proved that it is never too late to find love again.

Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant

Keanu Reeves is another star whose personal life has been marred by several tragedies; between losing his best friend, the talented young actor River Phoenix, in 1993, when the two were just in their 20s, to the stillbirth of his daughter and then her mother’s death in an accident shortly after, the Matrix star has been left shaken on multiple occasions.

While he has kept his personal life fairly under wraps for a long time, his recent sightings with new lady love, Alexandra Grant, has pleasantly surprised the 60-year-old actor’s fans.

He reportedly met his artist girlfriend back in 2011, however, romantic sparks only flew between the pair in 2019.

They went public with their relationship in November 2019, stepping out for the public event that was the LACMA Art + Film Gala.

The couple who now owns a publishing house together, having initially met to work on Keanu’s book Ode to Happiness, are still going strong.

Winona Ryder and Scott Mackinlay Hahn

With a string of famous relationships under her belt, including those with Johnny Depp and Matt Damon, Winona Ryder’s personal life has been a hot topic ever since the actress became a bonafide star back in the ‘90s.

However, it seems that the Stranger Things alum only found her true love at the age of 40, as she seems to be going strong and steady with her boyfriend Scott Mackinlay Hahn, whom she first got together with in 2011.

While she is often seen supported by her beau at many of her work related events — the couple also made their public debut at the premiere of Stranger Things season one back in 2016 — Scott is actually a fashion designer in his own professional capacity.

In a 2022 profile with Harper’s Bazaar, Winona shared the amusing anecdote which occurred during her first meeting with the 54-year-old designer and the reason she finds him not being from her line of work to be “amazing”.

“He thought I was Milla Jovovich. He told me I was great in ‘The Fifth Element’”, she detailed their initial interaction.

Further adding, “We connected on so many levels. But it was amazing that he’s not in this business. I really did try to keep it quiet.”

Meryl Streep and Martin Short

The breakdown of Meryl Streep’s 1978 marriage to Don Gummer, the extent of which was only revealed in 2023, allowed the celebrated actress to explore new horizons of love. 

This time, she found it with her co-star and fellow actor, Martin Short.

The three time Oscar winner and comedian met on the set of their Hulu series Only Murderers in the Building, while she was separated from her husband.

Notably however, the couple has never publicly confirmed their relationship, though rumours have been rife as they continue to accompany each other on various occasions and stay close for photographs.

During a recent appearance on Conan O’ Brien Needs a Friend, Martin shared his admiration for his rumoured girlfriend’s talent.

“I remember the first day working with Meryl and driving to the studio and thinking, ‘I’m nervous today, I hadn’t been nervous going to the set for a long time. Oh yeah...it’s Mery Streep’”, he said on the podcast.

Furthermore, Page Six reported in March 2025 that the couple has been dating “well over a year now.”

“Their friends and family, including their kids, absolutely approve of their relationship and think they’re adorable together,” a source disclosed to the entertainment outlet.

Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz

The two beloved British actors, Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz, connected with each other in their 40s, while both had come out of significant past relationships.

Though they had brushed shoulders in their youth, back in the ‘90s, the couple did not enter into a relationship until 2010 when they got together for a film called Dream House.

As they played a married couple in the 2011 horror movie, sparks soon flew once after the cameras stopped rolling as well, and the two eventually tied the knot for real in 2011, during a private ceremony.

Though they are known to be fiercely private about their marital life, The Mummy actress did share some rare comments about it in an interview with the New York Times in 2018.

“I’m very happy being married,” she said, while also going on to address her pregnancy at the time.

“We’re going to have a little human. We can’t wait to meet him or her. It’s all such a mystery,” added the Oscar winner.

While the couple welcomed their first and only child together, as of now, a daughter named Grace, in September 2018, they also have children from their previous relationships.

Daniel Craig has another daughter named Ella with his ex-wife, Scottish actress Fiona Loudon, while Rachel Weisz shares a son called Henry with her ex-fiancé, the acclaimed filmmaker, Darren Aronofosky.

Jodie Foster and Alexandra Hedison

The veteran Hollywood actress, Jodie Foster married her girlfriend Alexandra Hedison in April 2014; her first at the age of 51.

Still stronger than ever, the mostly private couple’s glimpses can be seen via Alexandra’s Instagram, where she often sings praises of her celebrity wife.

Notably, after staying mum about her sexual orientation during her rise to stardom in the ‘70s and ‘80s, the Silence of the Lambs star eventually came out at the 2013 Golden Globes, her first time doing so in public.

When she received her lifetime achievement accolade, the Cecil B. Demille Award at the 70th Golden Globe ceremony, Jodie jokingly addressed her initial “coming out” as being during “the stone age”.

“But now, apparently I’m told, that every celebrity is expected to honour the details of their private life with a press conference, a fragrance and a primetime reality show. You guys might be surprised, but I am not a Honey Boo Boo child,” she said.

From her former relationship with Cydney Bernard, Jodie Foster is also mother to two sons, Charles Bernard Foster and Chrisopher Bernard Foster.
