Check out the hidden Easter eggs you might have missed ahead of Taylor Swift's new album reveal

Taylor Swift is known for dropping hints and teasing her fans with Easter eggs ahead of releasing a new album or a special endeavour.
The 35-year-old musician went viral on Monday, August 11, as her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, teased that his podcast New Heights has a special guest on board for their upcoming episode.
The promotional image of the podcast featured Swift’s silhouette against an orange backdrop, per Us Weekly.
Shortly after, New Heights confirmed that the Lover songstress’s episode will come out on Wednesday, April 13.
In the teaser released, Swift announced her brand-new album, leaving fans swooning over her.
According to Billboard, the countdown officially ended at 12:12 a.m. ET, on Tuesday, August 12, with the Cardigan singer’s store going live with pre-orders for the new album.
“So I need to show you something,” she said while sitting beside Travis, unveiling a briefcase with her initials on the front.
Swift added, “This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl.”
The briefcase featured the colours orange and mint green, making fans believe that these are the new themes of the album.
Here are the surprising Easter eggs of The Life of a Showgirl that you might’ve missed:
Bejeweled music video clues
In the Bejeweled music video, part of the Midnights album, which was released in fall 2022, Swift was seen flaunting her glittering outfits.
There comes a point in the video where she sits on a clock, with her body covering the 12, hinting at the 12th album.
The buttons for floors 2 and 10 on the elevator are lit up orange, possibly hinting at the theme of the upcoming 12th era, per Us Weekly.

12 is the code number
The number 12 has been a magic number this time, leading to the special announcement of Swift’s 12 studio album.
This is considered one of the biggest Easter eggs, as previously in October 2024, the Blank Space songstress posted a video of herself walking through a stadium in Miami right before an Eras Tour show, pausing in section A12 before she smiled while looking at the camera.
Another instance is when Swift attended the 2025 Grammy Awards in February, wearing earrings adorned with 12 jewels.

Three months later, Swift announced that she repurchased her master recordings, after a lengthy battle over her first six albums, and she snuck in 12 extra letters while writing “this close.”

I Can Do It With A Broken Heart music video
According to Swifties, this was the biggest Easter egg that Swift teased her fans with.
She released the behind-the-scenes moments from her Eras Tour rehearsals in the I Can Do It With A Broken Heart music video, released on August 20, 2024, where her backup dancers were seen holding orange feathered props.

The Orange door
Upon the conclusion of Eras Tour on December 8, 2024, an orange door appeared as Swift and her dancers exited the stage.

Speculation about The Life of a Showgirl being a pop album
Swift also shared a Spotify playlist titled “And baby, that’s show business for you,” right after she announced her 12th album.
Fans noticed that the songs featured on the playlist were from the albums Red, 1989, and Reputation, produced by Max Martin and Shellback, who are also going to serve as producers in the forthcoming album.

This led fans to believe that the upcoming album will be pop-centric.
It is worth mentioning that Max, Shellback, and Swift are teaming up after 2017.
However, the album will not be featuring the End Game artist's frequent producers, Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner, which could mark the beginning or revival of a new style of music.
Notably, The Life of a Showgirl by Taylor Swift will be releasing on October 3, 2025.
