A noticeable shift in the monarchy are the new appointed titles assigned to the members of the royal family.

As it turns out, King Charles wasn’t the only one taking on an updated title. In fact, his eldest son Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, formerly the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, inherited the titles Prince and Princess of Wales, once held by Charles and Princess Diana.

Along with their new roles, Willam and Kate also took on the roles of Duke and Duchess of Cornwall.

Once known as the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla assumed the role of Queen Consort and then took on the title of Queen Camilla after her coronation.

King Charles embraced a friendlier approach:

After his mother’s passing, King Charles kept a warm approach, greeting and meeting well wishers.

While meeting the public, Charles was met with kisses on cheeks and hands, which appeared to be a break from tradition as Andrew Morton, Royal biographer, stated that such gestures would not have been permitted by the former Queen.

Talking to Business Insider, in November 2022, he remarked, "He lets people kiss him, which the Queen would never do. So there's a different kind of style there."

Over the decades, King Charles has managed to build a legacy of service creating over 20 charities and supporting hundreds more.

However, now after taking on a new role and title, it seems like he would have to scale back his direct involvement. The royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams came forward at the time saying, "As a monarch, Charles has less time for his charity work, and on top, there are fewer working royals who can support and represent him at charity engagements."

For years Charles has been recognised as a strong advocate for the environment.

Richard explained how the King took steps for a much environmentally friendly palace, saying, "When Charles became king, he asked the staff to turn the thermostats in the royal palaces down, especially in rooms that were not being used, and stop heating the swimming pool."

"He is determined to cut down emissions and set an example on how to live more sustainably," he added.
