There have been many times when celebrities have walked away mid-interview, either out of feeling disrespected or in jest.

Here are some shocking moments when Hollywood stars walked out of interviews:

Robert Downey Jr.

When the Iron Man actor sat down with British journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy in 2015 to promote the latest Avengers movie, Robert wasn’t expecting to be asked about his political stances, his strained relationship with his father, or his past struggles with alcoholism.

After answering a few questions, Robert decided it was best to say goodbye and walk out.

Kelly Clarkson

While interviewing Henry Golding in a 2024 episode of The Kelly Clarkson show, she walked off the set, mortified, after she accidentally made a sexual joke aimed at the British actor.

Justin Bieber

The Baby crooner appeared on a Spanish radio show in 2015, where the interview was conducted in Spanish with a translator responsible for translating both the host’s questions and Justin’s answers, which was very confusing.

However, after eight minutes of pushing, the host awkwardly asked Justin to “break the internet.”

He agreed, but then walked off.

Rihanna

The Diamonds hitmaker was in an interview to discuss her acting debut in Battleship, but the interviewer was adamant about knowing more about her love life.

After that, she was no longer interested in continuing the interview and cut the conversation short.

In a 2023 USA Today interview, the Friends alum jokingly walked out on her three-time co-star and good friend Adam Sandler after learning from the interviewer that he had gifted luxury cars to his previous co-stars.
