Kanye West's new explosive documentary: here's what we know about ‘In Whose Name?'

Kanye West’s newly released controversial documentary In Whose Name? is making waves on social media since its release.
The explosive work, released on September 19, follows the life of the rapper, his struggles with bipolar disorder, his 2020's unsuccessful presidential campaign, and his failed marriage with Kim Kardashian, who he has four children.
The documentary, which has been directed by Nico Ballesteros, follows West also known as "Ye" from 2018 to 2024.
From ugly with former mother-in-law Kris Jenner to his honest chat with Elon Musk; here are the exclusive candid moments from the rapper’s newly released documentary:
Kim Kardashian vs. Kanye West

In the newly released documentary, the I Wonder rapper had a tense phone call between the two after his 2018 visit to the White House.
His ex-wife expressed her concerns about how he's being perceived, saying, "I'm can't sleep. I've been crying all day. It's just this bad dream that's not ending."
West responded defensively, asking who she means by "everyone," and they disagree on his comparison of his work to being a "slave" to Universal.
"I can't sleep. I've been crying all day," the reality star told the rapper, adding, "It's just this bad dream that's not ending."
Kim Kardashian-Kanye West marriage

The documentary portrays the mother of four as a rational and tragic figure, trying to manage the fallout of the Can’t Tell Me Nothing rapper 's actions.
The reality star expressed the pain of watching someone change into a person you no longer recognise, ultimately leading to their expensive divorce in 2021.
Kim Kardashian’s grave warning to Kanye West

She warned him that he's losing everyone around him and might wake up one day with nothing.
This prophecy seems to have come true, as West's monumental deals with Adidas and Gap were later shown to have fallen apart.
Kanye West's mental health struggles

In Whose Name? explores Ye’s bipolar disorder diagnosis and its impact on his life and he also refused to stay on medication.
Heated face-off with Kris Jenner

The documentary featured a tense confrontation where West clashes with his former mother-in-law Kris Jenner over his mental health, specifically his psychiatric hospitalisation in 2016.
The Gold Digger hitmaker accused the Kardashian-Jenner family of failing to take responsibility for his hospital visit.
The documentary showed West screamed at Jenner, in which he was seen saying, "It does matter!" when she downplayed the online speculation about his hospitalisation.
"I would rather be dead, not in jail ... I would rather be dead than to be on medication," he told 69-year-old Jenner.
Kanye West and Elon Musk

Musk is one of the notable celebrity cameos in the newly released documentary which the Tesla CEO and the rapper spoke about their respective relationships with Grimes and Kim Kardashian.
“So are you and Kim off and on or something?” the CEO asked West while they rested on a bed. “Or, I don’t know. It’s hard to tell.”
To which the Grammy winning rapper awkwardly laughed, prompting Musk to discuss his on-again, off-again relationship with Grimes, born Claire Elise Boucher.
“Clare and I, Grimes, we’re sort of in the same text stream, she’s like, ‘I love you.’ And then like, a day later, like, ‘I hate you,'” the 54-year-old billionaire shared of the 37-year-old singer, whom he dated between 2018 and 2022.
The 48-year-old rapper then smiled while Musk, the owner of X, seemingly attempted to break the tension with laughter.
“And what do you do?” the “Heartless” rapper responded, adding, “You probably know exactly. I’m like, ‘Whoa, OK'”.
