Success does come at a heavy price in Hollywood. For the fame and for fortune that celebs enjoy, there words and actions are always under review. Currently, even a small comment from social media during an interview, podcast, and if ‘tweeted’ 20 years back can collapse what took years to build, literally in hours, and many would agree to it in a heartbeat.

These stars now a days are getting the unpleasant realization as cancellations and suspensions are the new headline for shows.

Roseanne Barr

The moment Roseanne Barr posted a racist tweet a suspended account all the moments Barr took for the revival of her show, Roseanne, went in vain. Not only did ABC cancel the show overnight, but they also reinstated it under the name The Conners without Barr.

Nick Cannon

The comments that Nick Cannon made regarding the Jewish community while his podcast was in session got him Wild ‘N Out. Most of the time Vicomcbs is kind of with a follow up, but in Nick's case, it was kind of a rare instance where a person cutting all ties with you, and then reinstating you after, is a rare instance.

Sharon Osbourne

The moment she got up to the talk show the ‘Daytime Emmy Award’ was sipping with coffee and handcuffed to the desk. Much as they like, the accusations of “sliling”, which lead to Osbourne getting handcuffed to the slides.

Don Imus

Last but, not the least in 2007, under the label ‘The Imus in the Morning Show’ his long lasting, family friendly show did take an unfortunate but much needed route. The moment Don was slapped with words like “shock-jock”, is the time his entire family friendly show turned into a racism and sexist arena due to the accusations made from theRutgers women’s basketball team.

His married life also took a sudden route with his daughter all the words coming from his ex and daughter turned into a fully family friendly but owned by him. It was up to his family, if they wanted to live in the racism arena. If not, the freedom railways were always open.

Paula Deen

Celebrity chef Paula Deen lost her Food Network show in 2013 after admitting she had used racial slurs in the past. The fallout also cost her lucrative sponsorships and business deals.

These incidents highlight how unforgiving the entertainment world can be. While some stars, like Nick Cannon, manage to rebuild their careers, others remain defined by their remarks. One lesson stands clear—words carry weight, and in the spotlight, they can either make or break a career.
