Brandon Perea joins new Insidious

Brandon Perea, known for Nope and A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, has been selected as the male lead in the upcoming installment of Blumhouse’s Insidious series for Sony Pictures.

According to Deadline, Perea will join Amelie Eve, Lin Shaye, Misie Richardson-Sellers, Sam Spruell, and Island Austin, who were announced earlier.

Insidious 6 is currently being filmed in Australia, directed by Jacob Chase, who co-wrote the script with David Leslie Johnson. The film is set to be released on Aug. 21, 2026.

Avengers: Doomsday wraps filming

Marvel’s next big ensemble film, Avengers: Doomsday, has officially wrapped production.

Reports indicate that all main filming for the Marvel movie, directed by the Russo Brothers, is now done, with some additional filming planned for later.

The upcoming movie, written by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely, will showcase heroes from the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, and the X-Men teaming up to battle Doctor Doom.

Filming started in April and wrapped up after five months of rigorous shooting that reportedly occurred in England and Bahrain.

Avengers: Doomsday will now enter post-production for 14 months, which is considered a typical timeline for an Avengers film.

With cameras now off, the countdown begins for what’s expected to be one of the MCU’s biggest spectacles yet.
