Lola Young collapses mid performance: Why social media is gravely concerned
Find out how there may be more to Lola Young’s onstage black out than initially thought

Lola Young sparked concern for fainting onstage while performing at a festival in New York on Saturday.
Footage from the All Things Go festival first started making rounds online — the Messy singer was briefly seen motioning to someone off stage, likely alerting her team about an oncoming danger, before collapsing.
While the 24-year-old singer shared a statement of consolation for her fans, and others, social media has hypothesised a glaring issue regarding why she may be experiencing such ordeals.
Lola Young’s Statement
Taking to her Instagram, Lola Young first assured her fans about her condition in a since-deleted story.
“Hi, for anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing OK now. Thank you for all of your support, Lola,” the British performer shared.
While she later announced the cancellation of her performance in Washington DC, originally scheduled for September 28.
Outrage
For some of her followers, Lola Young’s latest catastrophe recalled her past troubles.
Earlier during her Coachella debut in April this year, Young was spotted gagging mid performance before she took off running backstage and asked for a bucket.
Following the incident, the Brit Award winner blamed excessive heat for her poor health while sharing a humorous video from the performance.
“i was nervous guys and it was 40 bloody degrees,” she wrote. (Sic)
However, it has since been noted that an alarming factor in Young’s management as an artist may be her manager himself — Nick Shymansky.
Shymansky previously managed Amy Winehouse, who severely struggled with drug addiction and eventually died of an overdose.
Context

Despite the alarms raised on social media, it is pertinent to mention that Nick Shymansky shared a highly amiable relationship with Amy Winehouse and even tried to make the late British singer-songwriter attend rehab.
In fact, the pair’s working relationship came to an end only due to the Back to Black singer’s staunch refusal to seek professional help for her addiction.
Shymansky, who met Winehouse when she was 16 and he was 19, once told The Guardian about what it was like hanging out with her.
“At times it would be very difficult, but most of the time she’d be so sweet and funny,” he said.
