Meghan Markle’s ‘As Ever’ becomes joke among William and Kate’s friends

Meghan Markle’s latest business venture, As Ever, has reportedly turned into a source of ridicule among Prince William and Kate Middleton’s close friends.

According to Radar Online, the Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle brand, launched in April and centred around home goods like jams, herbal teas, and pancake mixes, has become a target of “brutal mockery” within the royal couple’s inner circle.

An insider told the outlet, “Within William and Kate’s circle, people joked by calling it ‘As If,’ meaning they doubt it will ever succeed. It became a running joke that had everyone laughing.”

The source said that the brand appears “poorly put together and lacking polish – honestly, it’s a bit embarrassing.”

The laughter shows the tensions between the Sussexes and the Royal Family since Prince Harry and Meghan’s 2020 decision to step back from royal duties. 

Despite Harry’s reported attempts to reconcile, “William may never forgive him for tarnishing the royal image,” a source noted.

This mockery around Meghan’s business serves as another reminder that the rift between the two royal households remains far from healed.
