Leighton Meester dishes on acting alongside husband Adam Brody in season 2 of ‘Nobody Wants This’

Leighton Meester is spilling the beans about her time on Season 2 of the Netflix comedy Nobody Wants This, where she appears in a guest role.

For the unversed, the 39-year-old actress will star as Abby, the former middle school nemesis of Kristen Bell’s character.

Interestingly, Meester shares the screen with her real-life husband of 11 years, Adam Brody, who leads the series alongside Bell.

“I don’t know what I can tell you, but I do inevitably stir up some drama there,” the Gossip Girl alum told People Magazine of what to expect from the second season while promoting her new Godiva campaign.

She continued, “Obviously, I am a huge fan of the show for many reasons, but I’ve been so lucky to get to know everybody involved, and they’ve all been so kind and welcoming.”

Meester revealed that she had one of the most fun experiences she’s ever had on a set, adding with a laugh that she also happens to “know somebody on it.”

However, Brody confirmed that most of his wife’s scenes were opposite Bell and Justine Lupe.

“I got to kind of be a bystander and watch, which is sometimes even more fun because I get to admire,” the 45-year-old O.C. alum also told People, at the 2025 Emmys.

It is worth noting that Nobody Wants This Season 2 is slated for release on October 23, 2025, on Netflix.
