Royal family members who have worked normal jobs will blow you away

The core members of the royal family may never be witnessed working a job anywhere, certainly no monarchs. But there have been times when royals, whether born into the family or before living in a future where they became a part of it, have contributed to their country’s workforce at some point in their otherwise luxurious lives.

While some are well known for having worked ordinary jobs, other royal members may leave you doing a double check.

Queen Elizabeth

Before becoming a long reigning monarch, a young Princess Elizabeth trained and worked as a mechanic during the second World War, earning the fond epithet “Princess Auto Mechanic” from the British press at the time.

Kate Middleton

During her pre-royal life, Princess Kate famously worked for her family business Party Pieces, before she branched out to become an accessories buyer for the fashion retailer Jigsaw.

Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle was a professional actress before joining the royal family, however, she had also worked a plethora of normal jobs before making it in the entertainment business — her first ever being a frozen yogurt seller.

Prince William

Next in line for the throne, Prince William once worked an essential job as the air ambulance pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) between 2015 and 2017 “where he flew Helicopter Emergency Medical Service missions”, per the royal family’s official website.

Queen Camilla

Queen Camilla got her early professional start working briefly as one of the ball girls at Wimbledon, later becoming an assistant for the interior design firm Colefax and Fowler.

Princess Beatrice

Niece to King Charles, Princess Beatrice briefly worked as a personal shopper for the British department store Selfridges, later going on to become the Vice President of Partnerships and Strategy at the software company Afiniti.

Princess Diana

The much loved royal Princess Diana used to work as a Nursery Teacher’s Assistant at the Young England School at the time when she became involved with the then Prince of Wales and her future husband, King Charles.
