Taylor Swift's 'The Official Release Party of a Showgirl' scores big

Taylor Swift recently debuted strong with the movie, based on her 12th album, Life of a Showgirl.
Titled as The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, Swift, who announced last month that her first music video would premiere in theaters only for three days i.e. from October 3 to 5 2025.
Now, the 35-year-old singer’s movie, according to PEOPLE, dominated domestic ticket sales over the weekend, beating out Dwayne Johnson's movie titled The Smashing Machine.
Benny Safdie-directional biographical sports drama which also stars Emily Blunt, earned just $6 million, marking a career-worst for Johnson.
Swift’s movie, on other hand, debuted at number 1 with $33 million in North America, according to Sunday, October 5, estimates from Comscore.
Her The Official Release Party of a Showgirl overall made $46 million, including $13 million in international sales.
The film was played at all AMC theaters in the U.S., Mexico, Canada and across Europe.
Moreover, Taylor Swift’s theatrical event had a runtime of 89 minutes and included not only the music video premiere for her single The Fate of Ophelia, but behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot, lyric videos for the additional tracks on the album.
