Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck reunite on red carpet following messy divorce

It seems like there is no bad blood between the formerly estranged couple, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, as they recently surprised fans with an unexpected reunion at the Kiss of the Spider Woman premiere in New York City.

On Monday, October 5, the On The Floor hitmaker attended the New York premiere of her new musical, where Affleck made a surprise appearance as an executive producer, hinting that he would be supporting his ex professionally.

The film is co-produced by Affleck and Matt Damon’s Artist Equity.

At the premiere, the former couple posed together and shared a brief conversation on the carpet.

For the event, Lopez donned a sculptural gown from Harris Reed’s spring 2026 collection.

Prior to the screening, the Dance Again songstress introduced the film and made a special shoutout to her ex-husband.

“Thank you so much, thank you everybody for being here tonight. Thank you, Ben, this movie wouldn’t have been made without Ben and without Artist Equity,” she said.

Lopez added, “I read the script, if you know, I was in bed and I was just floored.”

"I was just like could this be happening right now. I get to sing, I get to dance, I get to act. I get to be an old-time Hollywood movie star,” she continued.

Affleck's supportive gesture comes months after finalising his 2025 divorce from Lopez.

The duo first met in 2002, got engaged, and split in 2004 before rekindling their romance in 2021.

They tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2022 but divorced in 2024, citing irreconcilable differences.

On the professional front, Kiss of the Spider Woman is slated to hit theatres on October 10.
