Tesla’s ‘Optimus’ robot steals the show at Disney’s ‘Tron: ARES’ premiere

In a surprise crossover between sci-fi and real-world innovation, Tesla’s humanoid robot, “Optimus,” made an appearance at the world premiere of Disney’s upcoming film “Tron: ARES”, starring Jared Leto.

The event, held amid the franchise’s signature neon glow, gave fans a glimpse of the growing intersection between the film stars and cutting-edge robotics.

Taking to his social platform X (formerly Twitter), Tesla CEO Elon Musk reposted Disney Studios’ clip with the caption, “Optimus at the Tron Premiere!”

According to Musk, the partnership was designed to “immerse red carpet attendees and fans in the neon-lit digital realm” through xAI and X technologies.

During the event, Leto came face-to-face with the humanoid robot, engaging in a playful martial arts face-off captured in a viral video posted by Optimus’s official X account.

The appearance comes as Musk continues to promote Optimus as Tesla’s future cornerstone, having previously stated that the robot could account for “over 80% of the company’s future value.”

Musk has also emphasised that Optimus runs independently on AI, not remote control.

Meanwhile, anticipation builds for Tesla’s next major product reveal, rumoured to include a more affordable Model Y or the long-awaited Tesla Roadster.
