King Charles and Prince William’s strained relationship seems to hit a new low with each passing day.

The 76-year-old monarch currently has a lot to deal with — from the backlash caused by Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew’s links with Jeffrey Epstein, to Willaim’s alarming and unexpected remarks about his and Prince Harry’s childhood.

As the King faces a turbulent period, he and his eldest son reportedly took a quiet trip to Balmoral Castle in Scotland, where they spent time together and shed light on several important matters.

"This meeting was also aimed at reminding William that he's still not at the helm. Charles appreciates all the ways he's been helping, but he’s not ready to hand over the reins just yet and he's losing patience with how hard William's been pushing," an insider revealed to Closer Online.

The source also claimed that the 43-year-old prince has been pressuring his father to take a tougher stance right at a critical time.

"There’s a real sense that the King is trying all in his power to soothe over family tensions and get things in order before William takes the Crown and he needs them to be united whilst they implement new changes," the confidant further remarked.

It is worth noting that rumours of a strained relationship between Prince William and King Chrales have intensified after the monarch’s youngest son, Prince Harry, attempted to reconcile with his father last month.
