Alana Stewart, the former wife of music legend Rod Stewart, has revealed that she’s been hospitalized due to a persistent lung infection.

The 80-year-old actress and former model shared the update through a video on Instagram, explaining that she is currently receiving IV antibiotics at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center.

“I’ve been getting IV antibiotics for this infection I’ve had in my lungs for a really long time,” Alana told fans, adding that oral treatments hadn’t worked.

She described the experience as “not fun,” but said she’s hopeful to “feel 100 percent great and healthy again.”

In her caption, Alana called it a “stubborn lung infection” and admitted she had been nervous to start IV treatment because of her medication allergies.

Still, she expressed gratitude toward the doctors and nurses taking care of her, saying she’s “hoping for a speedy recovery.”

The actress also shared glimpses from the hospital’s meditation garden, where she takes daily walks.

Alana, who shares two children, Kimberly and Sean Stewart, with the British rocker, assured followers she’ll continue sharing updates as she recovers.
