Jennifer Lopez heaps praises on Ben Affleck as exes reunite on red carpet

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck may have ended their marriage, but it seems the former Hollywood power couple have finally found their balance.

The 56-year-old singer and actor filed for divorce from Affleck in August 2024 on what would have been their second wedding anniversary. The split was finalized in January 2025, marking the end of yet another chapter in their long and often-public love story.

According to Page Six, things between the two are better than ever post-divorce. “They like each other so much more when they’re not married to each other,” a source told the outlet.

“She’s the glamorous diva superstar on a pedestal, and he’s the roguish cad who keeps her at a distance. As long as they play their parts, they’re perfect.”

Their friendly dynamic was on full display at the New York premiere of Kiss of the Spider Woman, the first public event they’ve attended together since their split.

Affleck produced the film through his company, Artists Equity, and had nothing but praise for his ex-wife, calling her “amazing” and “born to play” the lead role.

Lopez returned the compliment, telling reporters, “If it wasn’t for Ben, the movie wouldn’t have gotten made… and I will always give him that credit.”
