Dolly Parton finally breaks silence on health speculation

Dolly Parton finally opened up about her health journey amid rumours of her condition, described by her sister.

It is to be noted here that the legendary country singer’s sister Freida, asked the fans on Facebook to “pray” for Parton, saying, "Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly.”

"She's strong, she's loved," she continued, adding, "And with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she's going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!”

Now, the 79-year-old songstress addressed the health rumour herself confirming that she is not seriously ill.

In a video posted on Instagram on Wednesday, October 8, Parton who captioned the post "I ain’t dead yet!", shared that she was working on commercials for the Grand Ole Opry and wanted to put people's minds at ease.

"Everyone thinks that I am sicker than I am. Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here!" Said the Islands in the Stream hitmaker.

Moreover, her manager earlier also rolled out an explanation, stating, “It's just the kidney stones, and the procedure she needs to resolve those.”

He also added, "It looks like her sister posted, and it got quite a bit blown out of proportion, weirdly."

It is to be noted here that Dolly Parton has previously suffered from kidney stones both last month and back in 2015.
