Jennifer Aniston shares her true feelings about a possible Friends cast reunion as Matthew Perry, who played the iconic Chandler Bing on the show, approaches his second death anniversary.
For those unversed, Perry passed away in October 28, 2023 at age 54 from an accidental ketamine overdose.
In a Harper’s Bazaar interview published on Wednesday, October 8, the 56-year-old actress dismissed the idea of a potential Friends revival.
“It would be literally, physically impossible,” she said.
Aniston added, “It’s heartbreaking that he had so many demons. But boy, for someone who had that much inner turmoil, he sure got to laugh a lot, and that was everything to him.”
It is pertinent to mention that before Perry’s tragic and sudden death, he was transparent about his harrowing battles with substance abuse and depression.
The star-studded cast of Friends included Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer throughout its 10-season run before the highly acclaimed sitcom concluded in 2004.
They reunited in 2021 for Friends: The Reunion on HBO Max, which was unfortunately also marked by Perry's last on-screen appearance.
Towards the end, the We’re the Millers actress shared that she loves when people inform her, they watch episodes of Friends when they’re mentally in a dark place.
“People will say that they go back and watch episodes to help their mental health. And that’s the ultimate compliment,” Jennifer Aniston stated.
