October 10 makes World Mental Health Day and the motive of observing this day is to raise awareness about mental health issues and problems.

The 2025 World Mental Health Day theme is "Mental health in humanitarian emergencies".

So many famous faces including Hollywood celebrities have bravely opened about their struggles with mental health and even advocated for it, initiating campaigns, awareness, institutes for such condition.

Here is a list of some notable celebrities who are advocates for mental health campaigns:

1. Selena Gomez

The Calm Down singer has collaborated with Wondermind and Rare Beauty to raise awareness about mental health.

Moreover, Wondermind, co-founded with her mother and Daniella Pierson, is a media platform offering tools and content to improve mental fitness and combat stigma.

The initiative mobilises funds to increase access to youth mental health services, which is supported by donations of one percent of Rare Beauty sales and annual fundraising events.

2. Prince Harry

The Duke of Sussex co-founded the mental health charity Heads Together alongside the Prince and Princess of Wales through The Royal Foundation.

Launched in 2016, the campaign aims to end the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage people to talk about their struggles and also supports a range of mental health charities.

3. Ariana Grande

The singer-actress partnered with Better Help to promote mental health services in 2021, offering free therapy to her fans.

Grande, who will soon be seen in Wicked 2, has one goal via such initiative; making therapy more accessible and encouraing people to seek help.

4. Ryan Reynolds

The Deadpool & Wolverine actor has openly spoken about mental health.

Reynolds, who owns lifelong struggles with anxiety, support mental health charities, such as the Nottinghamshire charity Walking 4 Hope.

5. Lady Gaga

The Bad Romance hitmaker has advocated for mental health through her non-profit organization Born This Way Foundation, which she co-owns with her mother.

Gaga’s foundation supports the mental well-being of young people.

Its purpose is to “make kindness cool, validate the emotions of young people, and eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health.”
