Kate Middleton’s off-grid dream: Is Prince William becoming a ‘part-time Monarch’?
Kate Middleton’s windsor move leaves palace on edge

Kate Middleton’s desire to embrace a quieter, “off-grid” lifestyle has reportedly sparked concern among royal aides, who fear it could turn Prince William into a “part-time king.”
According to RadarOnline, the Princess of Wales hopes to move with her family into Forest Lodge, an “isolated” estate in Windsor Great Park as she continues her recovery from cancer. A royal source revealed that Kate “wants to live more simply, surrounded by nature and focus on her family and her health.”
However, palace insiders worry the move could weaken the monarchy’s visibility. “People are worried that by putting family life and privacy first, William could start to lose touch with the public,” one senior palace worker said.
The concern reportedly stems from the late Queen Elizabeth II’s firm belief that “visibility was essential — and some think he’s pulling back more than he should.”
Despite this, the royal couple remains focused on raising their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, in a nurturing and private environment.
